Starting a new position at AIAR

W. F. Albright Institute of Archaeological Research – Director’s Wing

I’m happy to report that I have taken up the Assistant Director position at the W. F. Albright Institute of Archaeological Research in East Jerusalem, an institution that I love dearly and has been instrumental in my professional development in recent years. I’ve held a George A. Barton Fellowship (2018) and an Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) Junior Research Fellowship (2022) at the Albright, and I’ve lived in residence there since they reopened in January 2022. In the Fall of 2022, I began volunteering part-time as an Academic Program Coordinator, and I’ve since transitioned to working there full-time as the Assistant Director. The Albright was instrumental in the development and promotion of my project on the use of 3D modeling to reconstruct Dead Sea scrolls. This project laid the groundwork for my postdoc at the Hebrew University on the reconstruction of 1QHodayota and 4QHodayota. I’m eager to use my new role at the Albright to help other scholars, especially early career researchers like myself, advance their own research using the research and promotional resources available at the Albright.
